I used Sam last year to repair some bricks at the front of my house, and I was happy with his work and price, so I went to him again this year for my front porch, which was falling apart. Sam was a total pro throughout the whole process. He gave me a number of options for the look and structure of the porch during the planning stage, as well as realistic prices for each. He also had the great idea of using charcoal bricks along the side to contrast with the red bricks of the house, and it all looks really nice. After a few (terribly) windy days in early 2015, I noticed a few shingles had landed on my lawn. After a very shaky venture to my roof, I discovered a section of shingles (about 2 bundles worth) was deteriorating. I called Sam & Crew and they came out very quickly. They assessed the entire roof and, in addition to the deterioration, found a few other deficiencies left over from construction – not a surprise, given all the stories I’ve heard from neighbors regarding the builder. While there were a few extra issues beyond what I had noticed from my brief peek, I did not need an entire new roof, just for the lower section where most of the damage took place. I had this company repair some brickwork and pointing on my house that was caused by ivy that covered the house for many years. The estimator was punctual and professional, helped me understand my options, and arrived at a plan that fit my budget. The crew showed up at the appointed time and completed the work on time and on budget. This past week, I had Sam & Crew install a new roof on my house. It was a big job as I had multiple layers that needed to be stripped before new shingles can be installed. I had few companies come out to do an estimate, some didn’t even bother getting up on the roof. Sam, the owner himself, came out, went up on the roof, did the assessment and provided me with a quote. He is a professional, polite, no-nonsense guy and very attentive to customer needs. He gave me a very competitive quote and provided me with a list of houses his company worked on so I can check out the color of shingles I wanted to install on my house. Closer to the installation date, Sam emailed me the details of what will take place to successfully get the roofing project completed. The crew arrived by 7 AM, setup my place for the job, covered plants, spread tarps along all sides of the house, even over at the neighbor’s side to make sure there is no damage to their property. I made a mistake first by getting a guy off Kijiji. He did an awful job of parging my front Porch. I had to get it fixed as it was an embarrassment. I came across Sam by googling. He came to my house and gave me a free estimate and set up a time to do the job.

He got the exact bricks that match my 50 year old house exterior. He along with his assistant removed all the old concrete, had a big bag for that, it was taken away by Waste Management for a fee. I was going to do that myself but glad Sam knew about that. They then set about putting in the new bricks around the front porch and he was meticulous. He used a level at all times to make sure they were placed perfectly.

They did a great clean up afterwards and he kept to his word on the cost. It is a bit of a hassle to write a review but when people go above and beyond I think its the right thing to do.

Like many people, we found Sam & Crew while doing an online search. We were very impressed with all of his positive reviews and decided to make contact. We had our windows replaced this winter and encountered some major issues with our basement windows which needed the attention of an expert. Sam was very prompt at replying to our inquiry and came out to asses the job. He gave an extremely reasonable quote and we decided to hire him. Sam and his team not only completed the job in a timely manner but did an amazing job at matching our existing mortar and brick. We were so impressed that we hired Sam to come back this spring and repair some flagstone work in need of attention, as well as repair to foundation cracks and re-parging. I used Sam for some roof work last year and this year he capped my chimney. I no longer needed it and he did a great job! He took down over ten layers of brick and cemented a cap on top. It is solid and I don’t have to worry about it anymore.
